Why I Started Phone Tree

Hi I'm Steve Slovenski, creator of the Phone Tree!  

I was a furniture maker in Nashville and my company, Furniture by Steve, had just made its 1000th table for Tennessee families.  My wife and I also run a youth ministry for high school students. 

So I knew that people valued time with family because they were telling me that they loved these beautiful tables we were making and they wanted them to be the centerpiece of their family dinners.  But I also knew from talking to our high school students that many of them had daily average screen times of 8 hours or more!  

I knew that I wanted to do something to help families get more quality time together around the table.  It had to be something that would be delightful - not just a box or basket to dump phones in - something that would be a little fun to put your phone in.  

One day, it just came to me - a tree shaped phone holder where you could LEAF your phone.  I made the first one from some scrap wood in my shop and the phone tree was born.  After talking to several friends about it they said it was time to go for it and get it out there to the world.  

My goal is to help 20,000 families get a little more real quality time with their very own Phone Trees.  I hope you decide to be one of them!
